About Designer Breeds
Designer breed mixes are usually created to combine desired traits from both breeds, such as appearance, temperament, or hypoallergenic qualities. The concept of mixing dog breeds to achieve desired traits is not new but gained significant popularity in the late 20th century. The term designer breed became widely used, deliberately crossing two purebred dogs with the goal of combining the best qualities of both. They make great companions.
